Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026.
TuckGem is a Windows desktop application that backs up your Telegram chats to your own computer. This policy explains what information we receive, what stays on your computer, and what you can ask us to do. It covers the application, the licence service it talks to, and this website.
1. Who we are
TuckGem is sold by Manussawe Gumsorn (the “seller”, “we”). Questions about this policy and requests about your data go to [email protected].
2. The short version
- Your Telegram messages, files and account never reach us. TuckGem connects to Telegram directly from your computer, with your own account, and saves the backup in a folder you choose. We have no copy and no access.
- We receive the information needed to sell and support a licence: the email address and payment reference from your purchase, the licence key, and a random identifier that tells one installation of TuckGem from another.
- We do not sell personal data, and the application and website carry no advertising or analytics trackers.
3. What stays on your computer
Everything the application works with is stored on your own computer, under your Windows account:
- your Telegram sign-in (kept encrypted with Windows' own protection for your user account) and the API credentials you entered;
- your backups — messages, files and the reader's pages — in the folder you chose, plus a small working folder inside it;
- your licence key, the installation identifier, your settings and saved presets;
- a local error log, written only when the program itself fails, which is never sent anywhere unless you choose to send it to support.
Content from chats protected against saving is shown only temporarily, in a separate temporary store that is deleted when the application closes. Uninstalling TuckGem leaves your backups and settings in place until you delete them.
4. What the application sends us
TuckGem contacts our licence service (licence.tuckgem.com) for three things only:
- Licence check: when the program starts and then about every 30 minutes while you are online, it sends your licence key and the installation identifier, so the service can confirm the key is in use on one computer at a time and has not been refunded. The identifier is a random value the application makes up when it is first installed — not a hardware fingerprint, serial number or account name.
- Update notice: at start-up it asks which version is the latest. No personal data is sent.
- Licence reset: if you ask to move the licence back to your computer, it sends the key, and the service emails a one-time code to the purchase address.
If the service cannot be reached, the application keeps working offline. It sends no usage statistics, crash reports or content of any kind.
5. When you buy a licence
Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Stripe collects your payment details under Stripe's privacy policy; card numbers never reach us. From Stripe we receive your email address, the plan you bought, the amount and a payment reference, and for an upgrade the identifier of the Manual licence it applies to.
We then create your licence and email the key to that address. Emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service that processes the address and the message for us.
6. What the licence service keeps
For each licence we keep: the email address of the purchase, the plan, the Stripe payment reference and the issue date; the installation identifier the licence is currently in use on, when it last checked in, and when it was moved between installations; whether the licence was upgraded, refunded, disputed or otherwise revoked; and, while a licence reset is in progress, a protected one-time code that expires after 15 minutes. These records live in Cloudflare's Workers KV storage.
The service runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the connection itself (including your IP address) to deliver and protect the service, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not keep IP addresses or connection logs of our own.
7. This website
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies and loads no analytics or advertising scripts.
- The “Using a Mac?” form stores the email address and plan you enter, with the time, so we can tell you once a Mac version exists. Nothing else is collected with it.
- The contact section opens your own email program; the website itself stores nothing from it.
- Downloads are served from download.tuckgem.com, also on Cloudflare.
8. Support
When you write to [email protected] we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Please do not send passwords, card numbers, Telegram session files or private chat content; we will never ask for them.
9. How long we keep information
- Licence records: for as long as the licence can be used, and afterwards as long as needed for refunds, payment disputes and the tax and accounting records the law requires.
- Licence reset codes: 15 minutes; the request history for two days.
- The Mac interest list: until the Mac version has been announced to the list, or until you ask to be removed.
- Support correspondence: until the matter is closed and for a reasonable time afterwards.
10. Who else sees the information
Only the service providers named above, each for its own task: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting, the licence service and downloads) and Resend (email delivery). We do not sell or rent personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect against fraud or abuse of the licence service.
11. Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected] from the address used at purchase. Deleting a licence record makes that licence unusable; we will tell you before we do it. The seller is in Thailand, so Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act applies; if you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or elsewhere with its own data protection law, you keep the rights that law gives you, including the right to complain to your local authority.
12. Security
Licence keys are digitally signed and checked on your computer; the signing key is kept off the server. Connections to the licence service and the website use HTTPS. Your Telegram sign-in is encrypted by Windows for your user account. We keep the information we hold to the minimum needed for the tasks described here.
13. Children
TuckGem is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
14. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date. Changes that affect what we collect or how we use it will be noted on this page.
